About Users:

Hot Project has a sophisticated 'Access Control' system based around User Groups & Privileges.

This allows you to easily control what content users can see and how they can interact with it.

User Groups:

There are 6 User Groups available on the Extranet:

- Super-User
- Admin
- Designer
- Trusted Supplier
- Client Admin

Note: A Super-User, Admin & Designer user must belong to the ‘Primary Client’ (Your Company). These users will be able to view all projects in the Extranet.

A Trusted Supplier, Client Admin are non-agency users who need to be invited to each project before they can see files.

User Privileges:

There are 6 Activity Privileges which can be granted to a user:

- View Files [Browse Files ]
- Manage Files [Browse and Upload Files]
- View Tasks [Create and Browse Tasks]
- Manage Tasks [Create and Update Tasks]
- View Milestones [Browse Milestones]
- Manage Milestones [Create and Update Milestones]

These privileges can be set when the user is created or updated at any time by an administrator.

For the new privileges to take effect, the associated user must log-out and then re-login.

This system gives you the flexibility to control how individual users interact with the extranet.

View Files:
- Users with this privilege can view Files on the system
- Access to projects is still limited by the 'User type' (See above)
- This privilege can be given to Nokia and Contra users

Manage Files:
- Users with this privilege can view Files on the system and Add, Edit, Delete
- Access to projects is still limited by the 'User type' (See above)
- This privilege can be given to Nokia and Contra users

View Tasks:
- Users with this privilege can view Tasks on the system and Add, Edit, Delete
- Access to projects is still limited by the 'User type' (See above)
- This privilege can be given to Nokia and Contra users
- NOTE: Tasks are currently disabled on the Contra Extranet Version 3.1

Manage Tasks:
- Users with this privilege can view Tasks on the system and Add, Edit, Delete
- Access to projects is still limited by the 'User type' (See above)
- This privilege can be given to Nokia and Contra users

View Milestones:
- Users with this privilege can view Milestones on the system and Add, Edit, Delete
- Access to projects is still limited by the 'User type' (See above)
- This privilege can be given to Nokia and Contra users

- Access to projects is still limited by the 'User type' (See above)
